“Treat others as you would want to be treated – with respect and honesty.”

J Johnson picA second generation “insurance man”, Jim Johnson put himself through the University of Nebraska selling insurance as he obtained his degree in business with a heavy emphasis on insurance.

He enjoys helping seniors understand their options and doesn’t mind spending time helping clarify the terms and benefits of existing policies, as well as providing information on the latest programs that have been developed for the special needs and circumstances of the senior years.

As an Independent Agent, Jim can be selective so YOU can be selective.  His companies and product lines are chosen to meet the needs of the senior members of the average family, with the goal of providing that family with ABOVE average service and financial protection.

When it comes to providing insurance, the Independent Agent is a serious asset.  As an independent insurance agency, we are not bound by the plans of a single insurance company.  We have the flexibility to survey the entire market and select plans that are best suited for our clients.

It is important to note the differences between doing business with a ‘captive agent’ vs. working with an Independent Agency.  Below, we have listed some of the key differences:

  • An independent agency can select from an array of insurance options, whereas a traditional company agent is limited to the offerings of just that one company.
  • Over time, one’s individual and business insurance needs change.  An independent agency can make that transition much easier, compared with a larger company with fewer options and greater bureaucracy.
  • An independent agency has the flexibility to offer you one-on-one consulting.  The result is a plan that works for you, rather than one that works best for a larger insurance company.
  • Because of the smaller business atmosphere, an independent agency can offer a higher level of individual customer service.  Larger companies often do business by phone and are juggling too many clients to provide a personal touch.
